So this is a challenge for me... I have to list what I love about myself....

I love that I finally have straight teeth after spending several thousands of dollars on braces. 

I love my big blue eyes... People tell me they light up my face...

I love that I have thick, healthy hair that I can wear wavy or straight.

I love that most of the time I can express emotion with my eyes

 (except when I turn into a blubbering cry baby!)

I love that I have thin eyebrows so that I never have to wax them.

I really kinda love my pale/fair skin.

Stuck in a Rut

 

 I feel so lost. I don't know what I should be doing with my life. Yeah, I have a job, a daughter, a family. But what am I here for? I graduated high school. Started college but didn't finish. Sure I want to go back, but to do WHAT? I got married to the "one" I thought I would be with for the rest of my life. That ended in a divorce. That's a whole nother loooong story. So now I live back at home with my parents and daughter. I know big loser huh... I work, go home, take care of Little Miss Priss, put her to bed and then go to bed. I don't go out. I don't party. It's been many months since I have even had an alcoholic drink. And that's pretty much what I do. My job is ok, but not that satisfying. I sit at a desk all day and most of the time I am bored out of my mind. I have dated since my divorce but have yet to find anyone worth spending my time on. I always end up wanting more than what that person is willing to give. I just want to be happy with who I am, what I'm doing/working for/towards, have my daughter well taken care of, be self sufficient and not be stuck in such a rut. I know, I know.... I should stop complaining and get out there an DO something to fix it, but WHAT? How do I even start? Where do I start?

You know it's Monday when....

• You sleep through your alarm 3 times
• You refuse to get out of bed until the very last minute possible
• You can't find anything to wear
• You burn your tongue on your coffee thinking it should have already cooled off
• Your late for work because the traffic is backed up
• You feel like your dragging all day
• Your not feeling very bright and cheery
• You have a gazillion messages from customers that called over the {weekend}
• You have work to do but procrastinate way too long
• You would rather sit at the computer and catch up on all of the blogs you missed over the weekend

Awesomes:

• My daughter waking up on her own, without me telling yelling at her to get up 100 times.
•    Then she comes in my room like this:

The things on her face are these:

They have a hole in the bottom and she suctions them to her face.  Instead of getting dressed....Well, she went to school with little red dots all over her face. Wonder what her teacher thinks about that.

• Beating my Boss to work before 8 am.... It's a challenge every morning to get myself up and ready along with R, on time. 
• Missing all of the crazy morning traffic
• Not being caught behind traffic from a wreck to due the rain
• My yummy delicious morning coffee with my usual pop-tarts
• No one in management being in the office
• Being able to slack off on a Friday
• Being able to wear jeans and a tee today
• Everyone being in a generally cheerful mood, including me...
• Finishing a favor for someone and them thanking me for doing such a good job
• The phone being quite on a Friday morning

Awkward:

•   The things I hear from co workers in the office

                  Co worker: I need a drink

                  Me: there's a bar right next door

                  Co worker : There's a bar in my pants and it's Happy Hour

                           I had to walk out the door after that one

• Listening to what the guy in the cubicle behind me is playing on YouTube
• Same co worker talking to another co worker saying something about unzipping pants and needing a manual
• Getting a random text message asking me to purchase some male product for sexual stimulation
• Being refereed to as the delivery guy's girl (who by the way is way older than me and totally not my type. Did I mention he's married?)
• Transferring a call to the wrong number
• Asking a question and above mentioned co worker turning it into something totally inappropriate
• Talking on my phone while someone walks by and they thought I was talking to them
• Someone asking me why I deleted them off of Facebook
• The glass guy that was here to pick up a truck touching my arm and winking at me while telling me to have a good day
• Getting caught with my pants down.  Could've sworn I locked the bathroom door, always do! Guess it didn't catch. She should've knocked since the door was shut!

lazy,lazy,lazy

Ok, I admit it. I'M LAZY!! Very lazy! I sit on my @$$ all day and answer phones/do paperwork.. You know the typical receptionist duties. I just recently acquired this position after working for a shipping company for little over 5 years. Big change from being physically active to just sitting all day. Needless to say, I have gained weight. No body has really said anything about it but I sure as hell can see it. I hate it.

Too Much Candy

So Easter is coming up and I really would like to do something different this year
 for my daughter's Easter basket.

Growing up, the Easter Bunny (my parents) would always fill our baskets FULL of candy and eggs full of candy. Don't get me wrong I loved it! Probably way too much. I was always way too into eating sweets. Therefor, I was always a chubby kid. I hated it. It was no fun. I really do not want my daughter to ever have to worry about this. So far, she has no problem. But, with recent dental issues ( I think she inherited her Dad's bad teeth) and having to go to the dentist so much lately, I think I will try something new this year and do a candy-free basket!

I looked online for some good idea. I think I will take the best ideas and put them together to make a cute, cheap basket.

School? Again?

   I was planning on going to college right after high school but finding out I was prego kinda changed that plan. FYI: I was 18 when my daughter was born in 2003. So when my daughter was still pretty little, I started college. I really enjoyed my first 2 semesters. 

  Then of course, I met a guy. Seemed to be going really well with us. I fell for him, HARD. Things went so fast. I ended up helping his mom with her in-home daycare.{BIG MISTAKE} We saw each other every day. Probably too much. I didn't care though because I thought I was <in love>. Anywho, things got pretty rough and we fought here and there, and then constantly. His mom flipped out on me and I had to quit working for her. (She was psycho!!) Come to find out he was playing us against each other. Nice right? She kicked him out so I convinced my parents to let him stay with us. He ended up having surgery so I had to take care of him. He started taking way too much pain medicine and kinda lost it. I swear to this day he was an alcoholic.  He used all of my money and anything else he needed, he depended on me for. He didn't have any place to go so he decided he had to move to OK with family. He convinced me that we were in love and I just HAD to go with him.

 I was stupid, withdrew from all of my classes and quit school. I lost my grants/tuition. We then ended up splitting up for good and he moved to middle TN. Sooooo I quit school for no good reason!I really wish I hadn't. So it's been 5 years since I was in school and ever since then my family have been hounding me to go back. Truth is I do want to go back but I am scared to death to do it! I don't even know what I want to go for. I hate math, not even any good at it. My major was Early Childhood Education. But I am almost 100% positive that I do not ever want to teach little kids. So I am clueless as to what I want a degree in. I'm so intimidated of almost everything. 

  

  To top it all off, my older sister is a registered nurse. She works for a large hospital emergency room. She has done so well that she was named one of the TOP 100 nurses in the Mid-South last year. How can I live up to that? 

  But a few months ago, I landed a new job. I have down time (sometimes too much) in between busy spells that would be perfect for studying/schoolwork. Trying to decide if I should just suck it up, get the process moving, and do it. I'm so afraid that I will just fail and accomplish nothing. And then there's the question of where am I gonna go? I was not happy with  the school I went to to begin with. I guess U of M is a suitable choice(plus both of my sisters graduated from there). But it's HUGE! 

  You know those commercials that advertise for online colleges? Well, how do you know if they are accredited and worth going to? I mean, I don't want to take the easy way out but it would be so much more convenient to take classes online.

  And then there's the tuition part. I'm not even sure if I would be able to get my grants for being a single mom back... I might have just screwed myself over on that one. I have no way of paying out of pocket and I really do NOT want student loans. Sisters still have lots to pay on theirs... Not what I want to have to deal with.

  I'm just so lost with the whole thing. Don't know what to do or even how to get anything started. <They> say they will help me but how do I know that I can rely on them to be there for me when I really need them? Just lost...
